| Snake Eyes | In craps, rolling two ones is called 'Snake Eyes' . Snake: bad for the shooter. Eyes: 2 dots look like eyes . |
| Soft hand | A blackjack hand that containsan ace. This ace may be counted as one (1) or as as eleven (11). |
| Split | In blackjack, each of two like cards can be played as separate hands. The player must make a separate wager equal to the original wager. |
| Split Pot | A pot divided between the winners. |
| Stand | In BJ, a decision not to take another card. |
| Sticky Bonus | Money awarded by the casino that is "non-cashable" or "for wagering purposes only" |
| Straight | In video poker or poker , a hand that has five (5) cards that have consecutive ranks. |
| Straight Flush | In VP or poker, a hand that has five (5) cards that have consecutive ranks , all of which have the exact same suit. |
| Splitting | In blackjack, when the player's first two cards are equal (e.g. 2,2 or Q,Q), he can split the pair and then draw more cards in order to better the dealer on each hand seperately. The player must double the original bet. |
| Steaming | A blackjack term to describe a frustrated player that has lost much of their emotional control and is betting aggressively and usually recklessly in order to qucikly win back their losses. |
| Third Base | In BJ, the playting spot that is closest to the dealer's right. This hand is played last before the dealer's plays his own cards |
| Upcard | In blackjack, the card that the dealer has face down. In poker stud games, cards that are dealt face up for opponents to see. |
